Blanton’s Single Barrel Bourbon is better than sex I review
Jeeeeesssssuuuuusssss *insert moan* Blanton’s single barrel is bae with no question. All I could think about is The Roots-Break You Off, it just kept playing in my head because Blanton’s is literally sex. I would like to thank Colonel Blanton for hand selecting warehouse H, since this warehouse is constructed of metal it allowed the oak barrels to expand during the day and contract during the night which pulled more flavor from the wood.
The particular bottle that I have was bottled at 93 proof on November 15, 2017 at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. Bae was pulled from barrel number 305 on rick number 25, the age is unknown, but it is suspected to be aged between 6-8 yrs, at a price point of $60.00.
Nose- Its very creamy upon entering the mouth *that's what she said* just smooth as fuck. The creamy vanilla coats the tongue. Also its pretty sweet not sure what the notes are though.
Finish- When swallowing *tee hee hee* you pick up on the oak with some spice, but little to no burn, lol this 93 proof is nothing compared to Booker's
Aroma - Vanilla and burnt sugar
I feel that I was kinda off with this review as Blanton’s official review states...
Nose: A spicy aroma of Dried Citrus and Orange Peels with a hint of Caramel and Vanilla. Palate Entry: Full and soft, marked by a mix of Burnt Sugar, Caramel, Orange, and Cloves. Finish: Balanced with Vanilla, Honey, and Citrus.
Yep, I didn't pick up on that citrus at all and I had quiet a few sips of this. OOOOO but I did pick up on that spice which is the clove, but not that honey. Im not a bourbon sommelier just yet, but just wait...
What will you be sipping on this weekend?
